  i am assuming that you are asking for a wireless network card
  for your laptop
  For the most part wi fi is standardized - what that means is that any brand will work for you all the same
  I am assuming that since you are adding a card that it is an older laptop not a brand new one since for the last while they come built in
  Look for a run of the mill generic g pcmcia wireless card
  You do not have to buy a brand name ( Linksys or D-link) to work with a linksys or d-link router
  alll will do
  You can either get a PCMCIA credit card type for convenience or a usb type ( may work better but not as convenient). You can attach this to an extension if you wish to get the network adapter higher and in a better spot
  If you are just browsing the older b are still way faster than the internet - someone may blow it off to you cheaply
  Its easier for install if you have the install disk
  If not you can get it online from the maker
  Note: the cards . even with the same model , change
  look for the version number for the correct install driver
  it will be marked v1 v2 or whatever. You have to get the right driver
  If you have trouble finding it check
  don’t let a salesman talk you into an n card - no need
  by the way - everything is made in China now , even Linksys
